This small town of Kangra district is divided into two parts. The first part of the city is called Lower Dharamshala, and the second part is called Upper Dharamshala i.e. McLeodganj. The distance from Lower Dharamshala to McLeodganj is about nine kilometers and is the biggest attraction here.
In Lower Dharamshala you have more options for shopping and seeing old buildings. The Kotwali market adjacent to Dharamshala’s bus stand is the city’s most bustling area. In this market, you can do the desired shopping at a much lower price than McLeodganj.
The distance from Delhi to dharamshala is about 450 kilometers.
By Train : Pathankot is the nearest station for people coming by train, Go from Old Delhi railway station to Pathankot by Kashmir Mail and Dholadhar Express. Himachal roadways and private bus services are available from here to Dharamshala. The distance from Pathankot to Dharamsala is 78 km, which can be covered in two and a half to three hours. Rent – Rs 90 to Rs 100 per.
