Mig La Pass Ladakh – The Forbidden Gateway to India’s Hidden Himalayas

Mig La Pass (also called Migla Pass) is one of the most remote and breathtaking mountain passes in eastern Ladakh, near Chumar and Demchok.
At a stunning 19,400 ft (5,913 m), it now holds the title of the highest motorable road in the world, overtaking Umling La (19,024 ft).

While tourist access is still restricted, Mig La stands as a symbol of India’s unmatched mountain-road engineering and BRO’s high-altitude mastery.

Mig La Pass Ladakh – New Highest Motorable Road in the World

In a remarkable engineering feat, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has completed a road to Mig La Pass, now the highest motorable pass on Earth at 19,400 ft.

Built by Project Himank in Eastern Ladakh, Mig La surpasses the previous record held by Umling La (19,024 ft) — another proud BRO creation.
