Leh Ladakh Trip Review (14th – 22nd June) We recently completed an amazing 8N/9D family trip to Leh Ladakh (organized by Mr. Uday Katoch from Raid De Himalayas), and it was truly a memorable experience. Traveling with our 4.5-year-old child, we were naturally concerned about the high altitudes and logistics, but Uday ensured everything went smoothly from start to finish. The itinerary was well-planned, and we received timely instructions and updates before and during the trip. All arrangements – including the car, driver, and accommodations – were as promised and up to expectations. Uday was thoughtful and proactive, checking in regularly about our health and comfort. A small but kind gesture like sending a hot water bag without us even asking, during a cold evening, really touched us. We also appreciated his flexibility – when we chose not to stay at Tso Moriri last minute, he quickly arranged our return to Leh and helped accommodate a visit to Lamayuru, all at a reasonable cost. Overall, we’re very thankful to Mr. Uday and his team for making our trip safe, smooth, and memorable. This is a detailed review on our 15N/16D customized trip by Raid De Himalaya(RDH) in Zanskar-Leh-Ladakh region in May-June, 2025. I decided to go with RDH because they received the TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice Award 2024 and they seemed locally-based and highly experienced to curate such a challenging trip. As expected, Mr. Uday made the entire process smooth by discussing every single detail in the itinerary as I wished, which showed how knowledgeable and cooperative he is. He kept the same attitude throughout the entire trip, from picking up the phone at first ring to ensuring that me and my aged parents are healthy and safe all the way. His quote was very reasonable as well and he gave us a discount too! RDH took care of everything...from cabs, cars, hotels and essentials. Pickup and drop was from Chandigarh and RDH booked Innova Crysta for our main trip. We covered all the places with stays at Manali, Jispa, Purne, Padum, Rangdum(Suru Valley), Kargil, Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Hanle and Tso Moriri. All the hotels were top-notch. They were very cooperative and helpful, and we got the best rooms at every stay. We got freshly cooked food and warm water at every location. I had an emergency in the middle of the trip and RDH booked hotel and transport separately for me without any delay. This shows how reliable and accommodating they are! A special thanks to Samphel, our adept driver who cared for us like family and guided us, and thus, making this trip so much more memorable to us. I have been on many trips with other tour operators, but I can vouch for RDH to be the top-tier among them all. I thank Mr. Uday for providing me and my family with the most hassle-free and unforgettable experience in such a long and challenging trip in Zanskar and Leh-Ladakh region. All the homestay, cottages, hotels which he had arranged were just with the scenic view and tasty breakfast & dinner. Thanks again for everything.Verified Lovable Ladakh. Our Leh Ladakh tour has two parts. First Zanskar valley and then followed by Ladakh.Our tour started from Manali. The hotel in Manali ‘The Zima Manali Resort’ was amazing. On the second day we set out for JISPA on the way, we covered Solang Valley as well as, Atal Tunnel. The third day the atmosphere and food at the Dolma cottage hotel in Purne was excellent. From there we trekked a 2500 years old Phuktal Monastery which was guided by our tour operator Uday Kattoch and Rocky. It took around 5 hrs to reach there we enjoyed the trip and it will be remembered. On the fourth day we went to Padum. There we stayed in Guru view homestay, which was a great palace with very good hospitality. On day five we Saw A Lot Of Glaciers On Our Way To Kargil, Zanskar Valley, suru Valley, sankoo village,, and Other Potential Viewpoints. The atmosphere at Hotel Royal Gasho in Kargil is breath taking. The next day we saw the war memorial in Drass And on our way to the city of the Leh. There the Alpine Villa Hotel was amazing. The eighth day we was in tent at Hunder Tents which was a different feeling in a cold country. But the arrangement is extraordinary. On The ninth Day We Went To Pangong Alpine Cottage was also a great place near the lake. On the tenth day, we visited Turtuk and Thung, the last villages of India. On The eleventh Day I Went To Hunle Which Is Famous For Astronomical view we stayed at Sonam Homestay which felt Like Home. On the twelfth day we went to Umlinga at a height of 19024 feet. The beautiful way felt like heaven. Rezangla war memorial and the went to Tsomoriri. We stayed in Tsomorir Eco cottage named the korjok. The lake was very close to the cottages. The tour was totally excellent .
